March 31, 2008 Meeting MinutesMEMBERS PRESENT: Robert Hedger Ray Jones Janet Michaud Dwight Rodgers MEMBERS NOT PRESENT: Sally Crowley Mary Ann Higgins Michelle Joy Andrew Sankey Thoma Watson VOTING ALTERNATE PRESENT: Mel Jackson ALTERNATES NOT PRESENT: Phil Reidy Bill Zoellick The Budget Committee reviewed the third draft of the following proposed 2008-2009 budget requests presented by Eve Wilkinson: ~General Administration A motion was made, seconded and passed to approve the recommended General Administration budget as amended, totaling $238,384. ~Services and Committees A motion was made, seconded and passed to approve the proposed Services and Committees budget totaling $76,016.00. ~Town Property A motion was made, seconded and passed to approve the proposed Town Property budget totaling $58,153.00. ~Public Safety A motion was made, seconded and passed to recommend that $10,000.00 be taken out of the Fire Department's Special Equipment request for a one time expense for new truck supplies, to be a stand alone warrant article for the annual town meeting. A motion was made, seconded and passed to approve the amended proposed Public Safety budget totaling $216,757.00. ~Public Works The review of the Public Works Department budget was tabled until the Road Commissioner can review it and make recommendations to this committee. ~Other Business A motion was made, seconded and passed to change the April 14th Budget Committee meeting to April 16th.
