Moving to Gouldsboro If you are moving or have just moved to Gouldsboro let us say Welcome! There are few things that you will need to know about getting settled into our quaint coastal town. If you are moving from another town in Maine all you have to do is come to the town office and get your vehicle registration switched to your new address. You can also register to vote at the same time; we just need to see proof that you are now a resident (i.e. a bill and MV license with the new address). If you are moving from another state it's a little different. The difference is when registering your vehicle please bring the current registration from the previous state, the title (if it is a 1995 and newer), current insurance and you will have to fill out some paper work. If you own a house and have lived there for a year you can apply for a Homestead Exemption. If you have any questions about the homestead or information pertaining to your property (tax bill information and payments can be directed to the clerk's office) you can call the assessors office during their business hours. We have a great Police and Volunteer Fire Department. Both serve the town with pride and are willing to help you in your time of need. If you have any questions about either department you can come to the town office or visit their pages on this site.
