       April 15, 2008 Meeting Minutes       Attendees: Ray Jones, Chair Thoma Watson, Vice Chair Jeremy Strater, PB Barbara Bateman, PB Keith Martin, Alternate John Fuhrman, CEO Jim Watson, BOS Ken Thibault Roger Bowen The meeting was brought to order at 7 p.m. by Ray Jones, Chair. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes of April 1, 2008 were approved as amended. Jeremy Strater voted to accept the minutes as amended and Barbara Bateman seconded. The vote was favorable of accepting the amended minutes with Thoma Watson abstaining. CEO REPORT: John Fuhrman had no written log this month as there were no permits since the last meeting. We were advised that the Hazlett matter has been returned to the Board of Appeals, from the Court, for further review. The Stanley property at 680 Pond Road has been cleaned up as requested by the BOS; it is now in compliance. The Court action will hold; no more warnings. The owners will be summonsed and required to go to Court. OLD BUSINESS: Modena Family Project - There have been two informational meetings in recent weeks with both Town Managers, the CEO for both towns, some Selectmen from both towns, as well as family representatives, ecologists, and legal counsel for the Modena Family. The representatives provided a draft of a map of the proposed developement showing a golf course, lodge, hotel, bird sanctuary, nursery for plant life, single family homes, ect. There will be a public informational meeting for residents of Gouldsboro and Winter Harbor at the Winter Harbor gym May 14th. Jones Pond Retreat matter - The Chair has received a letter from Attorney Patterson indicating that oral arguments are set for this matter on April 30th at Superior Court. Ray furnished copies to the Board of the revisions Ken Bahm has made for us of the subdivision ordinance and land use ordinance. A motion was made and seconded to set May 20th as the date for a public hearing on the revisions to these ordinances. The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m. Respectively submitted, Thomasina L.
