February 19, 2008 Meeting MinutesThese minutes approved by vote of the Board 03/04/08Attendees: Ray Jones, Chair Thoma Watson, Vice-Chair Jeremy Strater, PB Barbara Bateman, PB Bill Zoellick, PB Ken Bahm, Alternate John Fuhrman, CEO Jim Watson, BoS Dale Church The meeting was brought to order at 7:00 PM by Ray Jones, Chair. The minutes of the previous meeting were unanimously approved as written. There were no bills. Code Enforcement Officer The Whalen issue on West Bay Road is still in progress. Budget Chair states that budget breakdown is the same as the previous year. He will e-mail the breakdown to Board members. The Board voted unanimously to approve the budget of $4,564.00 for fiscal year '08 to '09. Revision of Subdivision Ordinance Discusion ensued regarding dead end road length limits; concerns of safety issues; use and location of fire ponds, turn-outs, boulevards; questions of road grade. Other towns surveyed by Chair revealed half to have 1,000 foot limit vs. half with unlimited length. Board decided to seek public input before making changes in regards to dead end road length limits. Chair will have notice placed in March newsletter inviting public comment at both March meetings of the Planning Board, and also encouraging written and/or e-mail comments.
