          Recycling Information          


Please observe the following guidelines when recycling through the town's roadside recyclables pickup.

What Items Are Recyclable?
• Newspapers - Magazines - Phone Books
• Paper Boards (Mail, Flattened Cereal Boxes, White Paper) - White Paper - Color Paper - Cardboard - Brown Paper Bags
• Returnables: Soda, Beer, Wine, Liquor, Water, and Juice Bottles
• Glass: Any color, no lids, clean
• Cans (inside clean)
• #2 Plastic: No lids, rinsed out, and crushed
• #1 Plastic: No lids, rinsed out, and crushed

Recyclables Must:
• Be clean, dry, and separated into containers by the categories above
• Be left out by 7:00 AM the day of recycling

Tips to Help You Sort Your Recyclables
1. Wash out all cans and jugs
2. Flatten all cardboard into 3x3 sheets
3. Plastic jug tops must be smaller than the bottom (ie, a milk jug rinsed out and clean)
4. Sort all items into the categories
5. Make sure recyclables are not wet when the weather is bad
