          Transfer Station Information          


Transfer Station Location: Walters Road

Hours of Operation:
Friday, 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Sunday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

The Town of Gouldsboro has a Transfer Station which receives and temporarily stores demolition and bulky waste. Usage of the Transfer Station is subject to the following guidelines:

The Following are Acceptable Items:
• Construction & Demolition Debris
• White Goods
• Tires Without Rims
• Brown Goods
• Furniture
• other bulky waste items not prohibited below

The Following Items are Prohibited:
• Special Hazardous Waste
• Household Rubbish
• Brush & Tree Stumps
• Televisions
• Computers
• Fluorescent Bulbs

Any resident or eligible contractor wishing to use the Transfer Station is required to purchase a sticker at the Town Office for a $5.00 fee.

Please respect the 10 MPH speed limit while on Transfer Station grounds and be ready to comply with inspection and directions given by the attendant.

Rate Schedule
Tires (without rims): $6.00
Items containing refrigerant/freon: $15.00
Contractor/Commercial User, Pickup or Small Trailer of Construction Debris: $40.00 per load
Contractor/Commercial User, Pickup or Small Trailer of Clean Wood & Scrap Metal: $20.00 per load

All fees are to be collected at the Town Office during regular Office Hours Go there.

The Town of Gouldsboro provides town-wide curbside pick up for recyclables and household rubbish. We ask that you have your recyclables sorted and ready curbside by 7:00 AM on Wednesdays, and your trash ready by 7:00 AM on Thursdays.

The Town of Gouldsboro is a member of Coastal Recycling. Residents may drop off recyclable items at the facility located on Route 182 / Franklin Road in Hancock. You may reach them at (207) 422 - 6766.
