Mooring Permits
Every mooring in Gouldsboro waters is required to have a mooring permit, as voted at a special public hearing on July 27, 2023. Each mooring permit costs $50 and must be paid when submitting the application.
Mooring fees are due by July 1 each year. Starting September 1, a late fee of $200 will be applied to any unpaid mooring permits. Unpaid fees may result in loss of mooring privileges and removal of your mooring.

Documented Boats
According to MRSA Title 36, Section 1504 (8), the Excise Tax on Documented Vessels must be paid by July 1 each year. Failure to pay may result in liens on your real properties filed at the Hancock Registry of Deeds. New excise tax stickers are available by December 1 each year.
State Registered Boats
For new boat registrations or renewals, visit the Town Office with your documentation. Boat registrations can also be processed through the State of Maine.
